The book of ash

I was commissioned by a friend and aspiring author to illustrate a children’s book she had been developing. I designed and illustrated every page of the book, including the front and back covers, developing a visual style that felt playful and kid-friendly while still fitting the themes of the story.

The project gave me an opportunity to explore graphic design and illustration in a different context, including creating infographics to explain concepts related to spirituality. Each page began as a sketch from the author showing what she envisioned, which I then translated into my own illustration style and developed into a cohesive visual language for the entire book.
